The Voyager program is founded on the belief that all students should have access to educational and recreational programming. Vista Center raises funds year-round to provide for all Voyager events and students. This August Voyagers have a chance to volunteer at the Menlo Horse Show, a prestigious horse show whose proceeds benefit Vista Center. Voyagers will be passing out water, snacks, and serving lunch to officials, participants, and guests as a thank you for supporting Vista Center and the Voyagers. Students and families are welcome to come and serve our sponsors. This is also an opportunity to earn those volunteer hours needed for high school graduation!
Volunteers will also have a special tour of the horse show. The tour includes all things horses! You will have a chance to meet and touch multiple horses, understand their care and feed, touch a horseshoe and saddle, and more. This is a special tour giving your student the change to understand these majestic and sweet animals.
Who: Youth with vision loss and their families
When: Friday, August 12th from 10:30am – 2pm Lunch is included (Tour time still TBD, check here for updates)
